I provide individual, couples, and group therapy for teens and adults at my private practice located within the Healing Circles Wellness Center in Frederick, Maryland. I have a passion for working with my clients to assist them in their healing journey and help them reach their goals for a more fulfilling and authentic life.
My goal as a therapist is to create an open-hearted space where you can feel safe and understood so that you can explore life’s challenges and grow and move forward in the direction of your dreams. I will assist you in integrating your existing strengths with new skills that will help you to move forward with your life with greater self-understanding, acceptance, and renewed energy. My approach is gentle and deep—so you can comfortably trust the therapy process but also get to the roots of old beliefs and patterns, allowing for lasting change.
I use many different “tools” to help you succeed in therapy. I have a strong understanding of how our thinking affects our brain development and will help you with practices that promote higher brain functioning. If you find that you reach deeper understanding of yourself through art or journaling, I am happy to use those modes of therapy as well.
Many clients who begin therapy arrive with a tough layer of harsh judgments about themselves and their issues. This is often the place where I begin the therapy—to start to encourage loving kindness to all the parts of yourself. You will learn to practice self-acceptance, compassion, and awareness so that you can relax into an open, self-loving space from which true healing and wholeness can emerge.
It’s time to stop the cycle of negative self-judgment. It’s time to learn to be kind to your Self.
It’s time to stop resisting and to start accepting all the pain and hurt and fears that you carry within you—so that you can move forward with your life.
You do not need to do this alone. I am here to help you on your journey towards wholeness.
Let’s begin together to create the life that is waiting for you…Call me today.
